Domestic Mutual Funds have bought shares worth Rs 2.22 lakh crore in the past year after selling shares worth ₹90,000 crores in the previous year. For the last few quarters, mutual funds have increased their holdings in Mid-cap stocks. 

Here are a few stocks that mutual fund houses have been buying consistently for the last eight quarters. 

Orient Electric Limited 

Mutual funds hold a combined 28.12% stake in the company as of June 2022. In fact, they have been buying the share for the last eight quarters consecutively. Some of the major fund houses that have increased their holdings this quarter include: 

  • Mirae Asset Focused Fund Regular Growth added 13,70,907 shares of the company in the June quarter which makes up for 3.5% of their total Asset Under Management. 
  • ICICI Prudential Housing Opportunities Fund Regular Growth added 2,85,957 shares of the company in the June quarter making up for 1.25% of their total Asset Under Management. 

V Mart Retail Limited 

Mutual funds hold a combined 25.56% stake in the company as of June 2022. Some of the major fund houses that have increased their holdings this quarter include: 

  • ICICI Prudential Smallcap Fund Growth added 93,111 shares of the company in the June quarter which makes up for 3.14% of their total Asset Under Management. 
  • Kotak Small Cap Growth added 85,268 shares of the company in the June quarter making up for 0.90% of their total Asset Under Management. 

Bharat Forge Limited 

Mutual funds hold a combined 18.9% stake in the company as of June 2022. Some of the major fund houses that have increased their holdings this quarter include:
