Computer Age Management Services Ltd (CAMS) is a financial infrastructure and services provider that offers a mutual fund transfer agency, registrar, KYC registration agency, and other services. The company also offers online transactions, mail-back, capital accounting, and investment services.
On Tuesday, Computer Age Management Services Ltd shares were trading at Rs 2,401.50 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.07 percent from the previous close price, with a market capitalization of Rs 11,770 crore.
CAMS is India’s largest mutual fund registration and transfer agency (RTA), with a market share of ~69% based on mutual fund average assets under management (AAUM). And 40% market share in the insurance repository business, with ~5.5 Mn policies held.
Furthermore, CAMS is the market leader, serving over 150 AIF / PMS / Wealth Serve clients, and ranks second in the eNPS area.
The company owns, develops, and maintains technological solutions for the MF services business and also provides online services for intermediaries ranging from KYC facilitation to onboarding clients.
The company’s average assets under management (AAUM) increased by 14.1% year on year to Rs 30 Trillion, compared to the industry’s AAUM of Rs 43.8 Trillion, and equity AAUM increased by 22.9 percent year on year to Rs 13.9 Trillion, compared to the industry’s AAUM of Rs 20.6 Trillion.
The firm services over 400 funds across 150 fund houses and provides end-to-end operational support and technology-driven solutions to over 40 insurance companies.
In the first quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24, the Company Launched ’10-Minute KYC’ an Industry First AI embedded KYC solution to Onboard Customers Instantly. The company also Assists with back-office operations as well as physical infrastructure and facility management functions.
The company’s revenue has increased by 7 percent year on year, from Rs 226 crore in Q1FY23 to Rs 243 crore in Q1FY24. During the same period, Net profit increased by 17 percent from Rs 62 crore to Rs 73 crore.
As per the latest shareholding pattern, The company’s promoters hold 19.91 percent of the company, While foreign and domestic institutional investors both together hold 47.48 percent stake.
