Shares of this entertainment stock under the ‘micro-cap’ category hit the 2 percent upper circuit in Wednesday’s trading session after the company fixed Record Date for Bonus Issue in the ratio of 6:1. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 175 crores, the stocks of Pooja Entertainment and Films Limited started their trading session on Wednesday at Rs 349.70 hitting its 2 percent upper circuit. Currently locked at the same share price level, the scrip marked its new 52-week high at the price mentioned above. 

In a recent filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company announced multiple updates about the financial results for the quarter ended September 2023 and fixation of Record Date for Bonus Issue. 

During the latest quarter, the company reported a dip in numbers as far as the operating revenues and after-tax profits are concerned. 

The former was reported at Rs 14.64 crores during the September quarter, reducing from Rs 15.69 crores of revenues during the previous quarter ended June 2023. Moreover, the company reported a reduction in the bottom-line figures from Rs 1.53 crores to Rs 31.59 lakhs keeping the timeframe the same. 

In addition to the above, the company also provided an update on the Bonus Issue in the ratio of 6:1, i.e., the issuance of bonus equity shares of the company in proportion of six equity shares for every existing equity share held. The Record Date for the same is fixed as 9th December 2023. 

Keeping a purview of six months, the company’s stock has delivered multibagger returns of approximately 111 percent to its stakeholders, i.e., if someone had invested Rs 1 lakh into the stock six months ago, it would have converted to Rs 2.11 lakhs. 

According to the shareholding pattern data for the quarter ended September 2023, the company’s Promoters hold a 73.09 percent stake followed by the Public (retail) investors holding the remaining 26.91 percent stake in the company. 

Incorporated in 1986, Pooja Entertainment and Films Limited is engaged in the business of film production, distribution, and other entertainment activities in India. The company distributes films through DVD and VCD releases, theatrical distribution, television licensing, and other new media distribution avenues.
