The company was listed on the NSE SME Emerge platform on 11th September 2023 at Rs. 271 apiece level, delivering around 180 percent listing premium to its shareholders.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 976 crores, the shares of Basilic Fly Studio Ltd started Monday’s trading session on a higher note at Rs. 430 compared to the previous close of Rs. 420. During the trading session, the shares hit a 10 percent upper circuit at Rs. 462, which is also recorded as the company’s fresh 52-week high.
According to the latest shareholding of Basilic Fly Studio Limited for the October to December 2023 quarter, Ashish Kacholia’s name appears in the list of individual shareholders of the company. The ace Indian investor is holding 5,47,200 shares of the company.
As per the exchange rules, a listed company is bound to share the names of individual shareholders of the company who own one per cent or more stake in the company. However, these listed companies don’t need to share details of buyers and sellers of stocks.
Coming onto the company’s financial statements, the revenue zoomed by 216 percent from Rs. 25 crores during FY21-22 to Rs. 79 crores during FY22-23. In addition, the net profits magnified from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 28 crores during the same timeframe.
The company is planning to establish two new dedicated facilities in India and also aims to expand its business into international markets like Europe and Australia. Furthermore, the company is incorporating AI tools to reduce roto work and focusing on software development for automation.
The company has several partnerships with production houses and has collaborated with prominent VFX companies and studios through sub-contracting arrangements. On average, the company has generated 88 percent of its revenue from sub-contract services.
Moreover, the company has worked on projects like Top Gun – Maverick, The Whale, Spiderman -No Way Home, Ad Astra, Avengers – End Game, Mary Poppins Returns, etc.
