Share price of this micro-cap stock engaged in the manufacture and sale of safety systems and software services for railways moved up by 5% on BSE, hitting an intraday high at Rs. 563.6 in the trading session of Wednesday, after securing an order worth Rs. 8.26 crore.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 924 crore, at 01:29 p.m. the shares of Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 550.4, up by 2.33 percent on the NSE.
According to the recent regulatory filings with the stock exchanges, Integral Coach Factory (ICF) situated in Chennai awarded an order worth Rs. 8.26 crore to Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited, which is expected to be executed by 31st August 2024.
In accordance with the purchase order dated August 1, 2022, the company has received an order for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an additional 12 Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) (KAVACH).
As per the filings of 2nd August 2022, the order was to supply, install and commission 39 units of Train collision avoidance system (TCAS) to ICF.
The total order amount from the Integral Coach Factory has increased to Rs. 35.1 crore from the previous order size of Rs. 26.74 crore to the current order value of Rs. 8.26 crore.
In terms of financials, the company’s revenue from operations increased from Rs. 0.82 crore in Q2 FY23-24 to Rs. 8.57 crore in Q3 FY23-24.
The net profit of Kernex Microsystems is Rs. -3.5 crore in Q3 FY23-24, an increase of 17.8 percent, from a loss of Rs. 4.26 crore in Q2 FY23-24.
The company has delivered about 120.8 percent of multibagger returns in the last one year and nearly 1.8 percent of positive returns in the last six months. However, so far in 2024, it has given negative returns of around 5.5 percent.
Incorporated in 1991, Kernex Microsystems is engaged in the business of manufacturing, installing, and maintaining anti-collision devices.
The company also conceptualises, designs, and develops railway safety and signal systems along with manufacturing train collision avoidance systems and automatic level crossing gates.
