The shares of the leading solar EPC solution provider jumped 3.5 percent after the company’s net profit and revenue increased by 100 percent and 77 percent YoY, respectively in Q1FY25. 

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd has a market capitalization of Rs 15,886.21 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 681.00 per share, decreasing around 2.03 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 693.55 apiece. 

Reasons for the rise:- 

The shares of the company have seen drastic movement after Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd’s revenue plummeted by 23 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis from Rs.1,211 crores in Q4FY24 to Rs.927 crores in Q1FY25. Further, revenue magnified by 77 percent year on year from Rs 522 crores in Q1FY24 to Rs. 927 crores in Q1FY25. 

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd’s net loss turned into profit on a quarter-on-quarter basis from a loss of Rs. (26.79) crores in Q4FY24 to a profit of Rs 0.69 in Q1FY25. Further, on a year-on-year basis also net loss turns into profit from a loss of Rs. (95.36) crores in Q1FY24 to a profit of Rs. 0.69 crores in Q1FY25. 

Revenue split:- 

The company’s 80 percent revenue comes from domestic EPC, 13 percent from international EPC, and 7 percent of revenue comes from operation and Maintenance. The company has offices in 28 countries with projects in 20 countries as of March 24. 

Order Book:- 

The company has an unexecuted order value at Rs 8,084 crore as of Mar 2024 compared to Rs 4,913 crore as of Mar 2023 and the company has received total orders / LOI in 13 projects worth Rs.6,023 crore in FY24 compared to new order inflow of Rs.4,387 crore in FY23. Project executed worth Rs.2825 crore in FY24.
