The State Bank of India (SBI) Group, India’s largest public sector banking and financial services entity, offers a comprehensive range of services. With over 24,000 branches and 58,000 ATMs, SBI serves millions of customers globally, playing a pivotal role in India’s economic Development. 

Here are the stocks in which SBI Group bought fresh stakes up to 4.2%;

Ambuja Cements Ltd 

Ambuja Cements Limited’s major activity is the production and sale of cement and cement-related goods. The company’s products are Ambuja Cement, Ambuja Kawach, Ambuja Plus, Ambuja Cool Walls, Ambuja Compocem, Ambuja Buildcem, Ambuja Powercem, Ambuja Railcem, and Alccofine. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 1.40 lakh crore, the shares were trading at Rs 572 per share, decreasing around 0.20 percent as compared to the previous closing price. 

SBI group bought 36,283,777 equity shares which is equivalent to 1.5 percent of the company as of September 2024. 

The company’s revenue stood at Rs 8,311 crore in Q2FY25, during the same time frame, net profit stood at Rs 790 crore. 

Berger Paints (India) Ltd

Berger Paints India Limited manufactures and sells paint. The company sells products in several areas, including interior wall coatings, external wall coatings, exterior textures, metal finishes, wood finishes, undercoats, and waterproofing solutions. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 64,976 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 557 per share, increasing around 0.14 percent as compared to the previous closing price. 

SBI group bought 16,275,541 equity shares which is equivalent to 1.4 percent of the company as of September 2024. 

The company’s revenue stood at Rs 3,091 crore in Q2FY25, during the same time frame, net profit stood at Rs 354 crore.

Can Fin Homes Ltd

Can Fin Homes Limited is engaged in corporate insurance agency business activity. The Company offers various types of housing loans, such as individual housing loans, affordable housing loans, composite loans, and top-up loans. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 11,446 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 860 per share, decreasing around 0.20 percent as compared to the previous closing price. 

SBI group bought 5,528,500 equity shares which is equivalent to 4.2 percent of the company as of September 2024. 

The company’s revenue stood at Rs 931 crore in Q2FY25, during the same time frame, net profit stood at Rs 200 crore. 

EIH Ltd. 

EIH Limited is an India-based luxury hospitality company. The Company is primarily engaged in owning and managing luxury hotels and cruisers under the luxury Oberoi and Trident brands. The Company is also engaged in flight catering, airport restaurants, project management, and corporate air charters. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 24,517 crore, the shares were trading at Rs 392 per share, decreasing around 1.74 percent as compared to the previous closing price. 

SBI group bought 7,613,911 equity shares which is equivalent to 1.2 percent of the company as of September 2024. 

The company’s revenue stood at Rs 527 crore in Q2FY25, during the same time frame, net profit stood at Rs 97 crore.
