With a market capitalization of 3,90,393 Crores on Friday, the shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited rose by 2.55 percent making a high of Rs 3221.40 compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 3139.40.
What Happened
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited engaged in the automotive sector, including electric vehicles, SUVs, trucks, and buses has given an update on their market share and dominance. The company is ranked #1 in the SUV segment, capturing a 23 percent revenue market share, an increase of 200 basis points. SUV volumes saw a remarkable growth of 20 percent in the third quarter.
Along with it, Mahindra continues to dominate in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category, with a market share of 51.9 percent, up 230 basis points. The company also leads the tractor market, holding a 44.2 percent market share, which is up by 240 basis points. In the electric vehicle space, Mahindra remains the front-runner in electric three-wheelers, with a commanding market share of 41.8 percent.
Recent Q3 results
Its Revenue from operations grew by 17.7 percent YoY from Rs. 35,218.32 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 41,464.98 Crores in Q3FY25 and it grew by 10 percent QoQ from Rs. 37,689.04 Crores in Q2FY25 to Rs. 41,464.98 Crores in Q3FY25.
Its Net Profit grew by 21 percent YoY Rs. 2,977.04 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 3,624.48 Crores in Q3FY25 and it rose by 7.8 percent QoQ from Rs. 3,361.06 Crores in Q2FY25 to Rs. 3,624.48 Crores in Q3FY25.

Business-wise Revenue (Q3FY25)
In the Automotive segment, it grew from Rs. 21,755 crores to Rs. 23,391 crores in Q3FY24-25, the Farm equipment business rose from Rs. 8,194 crores to Rs. 9,537 crores in Q3FY24-25, and from Services business grew from Rs. 9,010 crores to Rs. 9,607 crores in the same period.
