Price Movement
In Friday’s trading session, Trent Ltd‘s share price closed at Rs. 4,836 per equity share which is 0.65 percent higher than the previous closing price of Rs. 4,804.85 per share. In the past year, the stock has delivered a return of around 24 percent and has outperformed the Nifty Index.
Retail Stores & Area
The company recognises its operational revenue from Retailing or Trading of Merchandise as its sole operating segment for Q3FY25.
In the Fashion segment, The Westside has 238 stores as of Q3FY25 increased from 227 stores year on year with a retail area of more than 5.1 million sqft. Their Zudio stores stood at 635 compared to 460 stores in Q3FY24 with more than 6.2 million sqft.
The Star Bazaar (Food & Grocery) business holds 74 stores with more than 1.2 million sqft with Like for Like (LFL) growth increased by 10 percent in the December 2024 quarter. The revenues from Star business is Rs. 947 crore in Q3FY25 increased by 25 percent from Rs. 757 crore from the previous year.

Product Category contribution
The categories based on its products include 35 percent from General Merchandise & Apparel, 26 percent from Staples, 23 percent from FMCG, and the remaining 16 percent from Fresh as of Q3FY25. The own brand share increased to 74 percent from 69 percent a year ago. Fabsta, Star, Skye, Zudio, Smartle, Zudio, Klid, Shubh Anand, and Misbu are some of the brands owned by Trent.
Q3FY25 Financial Performance
Their Q3FY25 results show revenue from operations of Rs. 4,657 crore which increased by 34.32 percent year on year, from Rs. 3,467 crore in Q3FY24. Its net profit increased by 33.96 percent year on year, from Rs. 371 crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 497 crores in Q3FY25.
The Operating EBIT margin for Q3FY25 stood at 13 percent and it stayed consistent year on year. Further, the Net Profit Margin stood at 14 percent and maintained margin in the same period respectively.
