Indian markets started Wednesday’s trades with gains but benchmark indices slipped and closed in the red by the closing bell on Wednesday. The thirty share index closed at 53,749.26, down 0.56% and the fifty-share index closed at 16,025.80 points, down 99.35%. IT auto and metal shares dragged the headline indices lower, but gains in the financial sector limited the downside. Investors are waiting for earnings reports from India Inc for cues.
With that said, here are a few companies that will tentatively report their Q4FY22 earnings (Earnings for the March quarter) tomorrow, i.e., 26th May 2022:
Berger Paints India Ltd (CMP – ₹568.50)
The competitive intensity in the oligopolistic Indian paints sector is heating up, raising concerns of business disruption for companies like Berger Paints India Limited. The shares of the company have already declined 6.83% on Wednesday’s closing trade. Its competitor, Grasim Industries has doubled the Capex for its foray into the paints business to ₹ 10,000.
Hindalco Industries Ltd (CMP – ₹397.25)
Investors are eagerly waiting for the profits of Hindalco Industries especially after the company reported its highest-ever profits in the third quarter. Its consolidated net profit increased by 95.79% year-on-year from ₹1877 crores to ₹3675 crores.
Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd (CMP – ₹60.40)
The company is the demerged entity of Motherson Sumi Systems and it made its debut on the bourses on 28th March 2022. This will be the first quarter during which it will be reporting its results.
