Gulshan Polyols Limited shares gained around 1.5 percent today and currently trade at Rs 257.75. The scrip observed an intra-day high of Rs 264.90 which is an upside of around 4.3 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 253.95.
Keeping a purview of two years, the stock has been able to provide multibagger returns of around 130 percent ranging from Rs 112 to current levels. It means that if someone would have invested Rs 1,00,000 in the stock, it would have converted to Rs 2,30,000 within a period of two years.
Last week, the company provided an intimation through a regulatory filing with the exchange where they mentioned about the receipt of an order against tender floated by the Excise Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the supply of ‘Country Liquor’ having a quantity of 72 lakhs proof liter in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh, i.e., Chhindwara, Balaghat, and Singrauli for the financial year 2023-2024.
Gulshan Polyols Limited, a manufacturer of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate and Sorbitol in the country, has a wide variety of products in its portfolio such as Starch Sugars and Native Starches, Fructose, Calcium Carbonate, Alcohol business, Ethanol, and On-site PCC plants.
The company has three broad segments such as mineral processing, grain processing, and distillery. The majority of its revenue is generated through the sales of Sorbitol solution which is also known as ‘glucitol’ contributing a prime part of revenue. Having a global presence, most of the revenue is coming from the Indian market.
Having a quick glance at the financials, the revenues and net profits of the company have increased on a QoQ basis. Revenues went up from Rs 276 crores in Q2 to Rs 332 crores in Q3. Moreover, the net profits moved from Rs 9 crores in Q2 to Rs 12 crores in Q3.
The profitability ratios of the company have reported numbers with some mixed movements as far as the recent financial years are concerned. ROE marginally moved up from Rs 18.22 percent in FY20-21 to 18.7 percent in FY21-22. On the other hand, ROCE moved down from 25.34 percent during FY20-21 to 23.16 percent in FY21-22. The debt to equity ratio has also increased from 0.03 in FY20-21 to 0.21 in FY21-22.
The shareholding pattern as on December 2022 has represented the promoter’s stake of 66.65 percent. Whereas, FIIs have exited from the company by slightly reducing their stake from 0.34 percent in Q2 to 0.33 percent in Q3.
