An official statement said the state-owned NTPC will host a conference on “Green Hydrogen Pilots in India” on Tuesday.
On Monday the Ministry of New Renewable Energy said in a statement that the conference will showcase various pilot projects on green hydrogen being implemented by both public and private sector companies of India.
In the run-up to the G20 Summit, a day-long conference on ‘Green Hydrogen Pilots in India’ is being held in New Delhi on September 5, 2023.
Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy R K Singh will attend the opening session of the conference and deliver the keynote address.
MNRE Secretary Bhupinder S Bhalla, NTPC CMD Gurdeep Singh and NTPC Green Energy Ltd CEO Mohit Bhargava will also address the opening session.
The discussions during the event will help in the assimilation of information and encourage the sharing of achievements and challenges faced by the early movers, the ministry said.
The pilot projects will also help address technological challenges, and develop local supply chains, and optimise techno-economic feasibility in the future.
On Monday NTPC company shares closed 2.4% up at Rs. 236.25 onn NSE.
As per the company filing, total revenue declined by 0.39% YoY from Rs. 43,560.72 Cr in Q1 FY23 to Rs. 43,390.02 Cr in Q1 FY24, for the same period net profit increased by 23% YoY from Rs. 3,977.77 Cr to Rs. 4,907.13 Cr.
An energy corporation is called NTPC Ltd (NTPC). It is present across the whole power generation industry value chain. The business generates electricity and sells it wholesale to public utilities.
