On Thursday the smallcap stock rose by 5.2% to its intraday high of ₹312.65 per share from its previous close of ₹297.10 after the company announced its quarterly results for the December month.
According to the exchange filing, the Som Distilleries Breweries & Wineries Ltd announced its financial result for the quarter ended 31 December 2023.
Looking at their financial performance their net revenue rose by by 78.5% year over year, from ₹266 crore in Q3FY23 to ₹149 crore in Q3FY24. Their revenue rose by 7.2% sequentially from ₹248 crore in Q2FY24 to the current levels.
In addition, the Net profit of the company increased by 63%, from ₹11 crores in Q3FY23 to ₹18 crores in Q3FY24. The company Net profit rose by 20% on sequential basis from ₹15 crore in Q2FY24 to current levels.
In the filling, as board meeting outcome the company board has approved to change the name of the company from Som Distilleries Breweries & Wineries Limited’ To ‘Som Distilleries and Breweries Limited’ or any other name.
Also, the company plans to raise up to ₹350 Crore through various methods, such as public issue, preferential issue, or private placement, subject to regulatory approvals and the discretion of the Board.
The company has a market capitalization of ₹2,300 crores, with the low price to earnings ratio of 28 compared to its peers, with a low debt to equity ratio of 0.65, a return on equity ratio of 18%, a return on capital employed of 15%.
Som Distilleries Breweries & Wineries Ltd is a small-cap multibagger stock, the share price of the company rose 149% last year, for instance if an investor invested ₹1 Lakh a year ago the current value would be around 2.49 Lakhs.
The company promoters own 34.50% of the company, with foreign institutional investors owning 64.65%, and the general public owning 0.86%.
