On Thursday Speciality chemicals manufacturer Anupam Rasayan India said it has appointed Gopal Agrawal as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from September 11.

Agrawal, a chartered accountant, previously held the positions of managing director and head of Edelweiss’ investment banking division.

“With his extensive experience and a proven track record in the financial and industrial sectors, we are confident that his leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction as we embark on an exciting journey of growth and innovation,” Anupam Rasayan Managing Director Anand Desai said in a statement.

On Thursday shares of the company closed 0.2% down at Rs. 997 on NSE.

As per the company filing, total revenues grew by 19% YoY from Rs. 3,34.3 Cr in Q1 FY23 to Rs. 3,98.7 Cr in Q1 FY24 and for the same period, net profit increased by 24% YoY from Rs. 41.9 Cr to Rs. 52.2 Cr.

Speciality chemicals are produced and synthesized on demand by Anupam Rasayan India Ltd. The company’s business segments include life science-related speciality chemicals, which include agrochemical, pharmaceutical, and personal care products.
