Shares of this small-cap company jumped 4.6% in Thursday’s trading session a day after Morgan Stanley and Custody Bank Of Japan, a foreign institutional investor (FII), bought 14.26 lakhs equity shares in the company.

With a market capitalization of Rs 6,909.12 crores, the shares of Sansera Engineering Limited went up by 4.6 percent, and closed at Rs 1,288.65 a piece on Thursday’s market session, compared to today’s high of Rs  1,330.65 per share and to a previous close of Rs 1,272.10 per share.

According to NSE Bulk Deal data, Ebene Limited sold 50,30,005 shares and Cvcigp II Employee Ebene Limited sold 12,23,267 shares in Sansera. 

Meanwhile, Custody Bank of Japan purchased 10,93,753 shares. DSP Mutual Fund bought 18,46,288 shares, HDFC Standard Life Insurance and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd each acquired 2,91,670 shares, Morgan Stanley bought 3,33,343 shares, SBI Mutual Fund purchased 3,64,584 shares, and Societe Generale acquired 3,58,343 shares. At an average  price of Rs 1,200 per share.

Out of the mentioned list, The FIIs include Custody Bank of Japan, Morgan Stanley, Societe General, Client Ebene, and Cvcigp II Employee Ebene Limited. The DII’s include DSP mutual fund, HDFC standard life insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd, and SBI mutual fund.

Examining the financials of Sansera, on a year-on-year basis, the sales increased  by  17.71 percent from Rs. 2,388 crores in FY22-23 to Rs 2,811 crores in FY23-24. While the net profits of the the firm increased by 27 percent from Rs. 148 crores in FY22-23 to Rs 188 crores in FY23-24.

For the fiscal year ended 2024, the company’s ROCE stood at 17 percent with a healthy order book of Rs 1,592.8 crores. The EBITDA rose by 32.1 percent from Rs 96.2 crores in Q4FY23 to Rs 127 cores in  Q4FY24.

The shares of this company generated an overall return of 52.61 percent over the past one year and 31.67  percent over the past 6 months. 

As of March 2024, the firm’s shareholding pattern stood at 35.03  percent for promoters, 14.29 percent for the public, 22.12 percent for foreign institutional investors, and 28.56 percent for domestic institutional investors.
