The shares of fertilizer company, specializing in the business of manufacturing and marketing of fertilizers, micro irrigation equipment, and Agri informatic services, hit a 5 percent upper circuit following their promoter Amlika Mercantile Private Limited stake sale.

With a market capitalization of Rs. 297.24 crores on Friday, the shares of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd hit a 5 percent upper circuit, making a high of Rs. 5.14 per share compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 4.90 per share.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, in the business of manufacturing and marketing fertilizers, micro irrigation equipment, and Agri informatic services, recently experienced a block deal and Share Purchase Agreement, in which its promoter Amlika Mercantile Private Limited sold 27,17,72,140 equity shares at  Rs. 4.31 apiece on March 28.

In which Agri Vestors Private Limited (AVPL) acquired 27,17,72,140 shares (45.44 percent) of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited on March 28, 2025, through an inter-se transfer from promoter Amlika Mercantile Private Limited. 

This included 15,54,12,063 shares via a Block Deal on the NSE and 11,63,60,077 shares through a Share Purchase Agreement, both for Rs. 4.31 per share. AVPL now holds 45.44 percent of Nagarjuna Fertilizers’ total paid-up capital.
