In Tuesday’s trading session, the share price of Azad Engineering touched a day’s low of Rs. 1,286.60 which is 9.68 percent down. The stock reiterated from the day’s low and was trading at Rs. 1,310.75 per share which is 7.99 percent lower than the previous closing price of Rs.1,424.55 apiece. The share has delivered an 85 percent return and has outperformed the Nifty Index in the past year.
What happened
The company’s stock was in focus after receiving an order from Bharath Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) for the supply of advanced, high-complex rotating airfoils for supercritical turbines. The order can reduce import as the product requires high precision and involves technical complexity. Azad Engineering has met these requirements and positioned itself as an import substitute. The period for the execution of the order is dated at January 24th, 2026.

Management of Azad Engineering said they have an order book of around Rs. 4,000 crore recently. Some of the partnerships involve signing a 7-year contract with Rolls Royce to produce critical engine parts for their Defence Aircraft Engines. Signing a contract with the Steam Power business of GE Vernova for the supply of high-complex rotating airfoils for the Nuclear and Thermal Power industry valued at around USD 35 Million and others.

In its Q2FY25 financial results, Azad Engineering reported revenue of Rs.112 crore, a 35 percent increase from Rs.83 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The Profit After Tax grew by 10.52 percent to Rs.21 crore, up from Rs.19 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
