The franchise owner of popular food-chain brands KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell announced a 5:1 stock split and set a record date for the split. Following the announcement of the record date, the share price gained nearly 5 percent. 

Price Movement 

On Tuesday’s trading session, the share price of Sapphire Foods Ltd. reached an intra-day high of Rs.1,628.25 per share rising 4.4 percent from its previous close of Rs.1,559.75 apiece. 

What is the news 

Sapphire Foods India Limited has announced a stock split, where each existing equity share of face value Rs.10 will be split into five shares with a face value of Rs.2 each.

The Record Date for determining the entitlement of shareholders is set for Thursday, 5th September 2024. This decision was approved during the company’s 15th Annual General Meeting on 9th August 2024.

On a quarter-over-quarter basis Sapphire Foods India Limited gained 13.7 percent in consolidated revenue from operations to Rs.718.29 crore in Q1 FY25 from Rs.631.7 crore in Q1 FY24. 

For the quarter ended June 2024, the company reported net profit of Rs.8.19 crores, reflecting a remarkable growth of 301.5 percent quarterly, compared to Rs.2.04 crores in previous quarter.

The Omni Channel Mix for Sapphire Foods is diversified, with Delivery accounting for 42 percent of the total sales, Dine-In contributing 36 percent, and Take Away representing 22 percent.
