India’s green energy industry is quickly developing, with more than 174 GW of renewable energy capacity built by 2023, accounting for 42% of total power capacity. Driven by government measures, the country plans to reach 500 GW by 2030, with a concentration on solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy to cut carbon emissions. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 11,760.93 crore, the shares of KPI Green Energy Ltd were trading at Rs 895 per share, decreasing around 1.55 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 909.05 apiece. 

Zero-debt status:- 

According to the recent company filing, KPI Green Energy Ltd achieved zero net debt status on a standalone basis. This milestone demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining a strong financial position and is expected to result in significant savings in yearly interest and financing expenses.

Financial Status:- 

Looking into the company’s financial condition, revenue increased by 84 percent from Rs 189 crore in Q1FY24 to Rs 348 crore in Q1FY25, and during the same period, net profit magnified 100 percent from Rs 33 crore to Rs 66 crore. 

Recent orders:- 

KPI Green Energy secured a 100 MW hybrid captive solar power project order from Aether Industries, set for completion in FY 2024-25. This project strengthens KPI’s portfolio and commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint. 

Sun Drops Energia, a KPI Green Energy subsidiary, secured 26.15 MW and an additional 13.30 MW in solar power orders under the captive power producer segment, from various companies, to be completed in tranches by FY 2025, enhancing its project pipeline. 

Order Book & Future outlook:- 

As of June 2024, the company has an impressive order book of 1.23 GW, together with the the existing site, KPI Green has secured a cumulative capacity of 1.68 GW which includes the cumulative hybrid capacity of 334 MW. 

KPI Green Energy plans to boost its renewable capacity from 346+ MW to 1000 MW by 2025, focusing on solar, wind, and hybrid projects, enhancing energy reliability, and creating new revenue streams.
