The shares of the high voltage (EHV) power transmission provider hit 5 percent upper circuit of Rs 188.80 apiece after the company received an order from JSW Cement Ltd worth Rs 5.35 crore. 

With a market capitalization of Rs 206.92 crore, the shares of Kay Cee Energy & Infra Ltd closed at Rs 188.80 apiece, increasing around 5 percent as compared to the previous year closing of Rs 179.85 apiece. 

According to the company filing, Kay Cee Energy & Infra Ltd has been awarded a contract by JSW Cement LTD for the supply and installation of equipment for the 132 KV Single Circuit Transmission Line from the existing 132 KV GSS Deh JSW Cement Plant’s 132 KV Switchyard in the village of Jindas and Civil Construction at JSW Cement LTD Nagaur Plant for a cash consideration of Rs 5.35 crore. 

Looking into Kay Cee Energy & Infra Ltd, the company’s revenue increased by 76 percent, from Rs 13.64 crore in Q2FY23 to Rs 24.13 crore in Q2FY24. During the same period, net profit grew by 100 percent, from Rs 1.39 crore to Rs 2.79 crore. 

Kay Cee Energy & Infra Ltd. reported return ratios in the recent financial year with a return on equity (ROE) of 28.8 percent and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 30.6 percent. 

Kay Cee Energy & Infra Ltd’s recent shareholding pattern, The Promoters of the company own 70.26 percent while Retail shareholders own a 23.70 percent stake in the company, and Foreign Institutional Investors own a 2.04 percent stake. 

Recently, the company received an order for the modification of 132 kV S/C line from 220 kV GSS Sanganer to 132 kV GSS Balawala, 132 kV XLPE cable system (3+1 spare cable) on 220kV D/C narrow base towers, including detailed route survey, cable laying and installation, as well as associated accessories and civil works, for Rs. 4.93 crores, with the contract to be completed within 9 months.
