With a market capitalization of Rs. 2,358 Crores, the shares of Rashi Peripherals Limited were trading at Rs. 358.60 per equity share, up 1.69 per cent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 352.65. 

What Happened 

The Board of Directors of Rashi Peripherals Limited has considered and approved the acquisition of 70 percent equity of Satcom Info Tech Private Limited by making an investment of upto Rs. 14 Crores, following which it’ll become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. 

Satcom Info Tech Private Limited is involved in the Distribution of Information and Communication Technology (Cyber Security Products). The main intent of the acquisition is to widen the scope/base of the product portfolio.

It has a Pan-India & Multi-Channel Distribution Footprint in 28 states & Union Territories, across 724 locations with 52 branches, 67 warehouses, 17,625 SKUs, 585 sales teams, and more than 10,665 customers. 

Financials & Ratios 

Its revenue from operations grew by 22.76 percent from Rs. 3,023.55 Crores in Q2FY24 to Rs. 3,711.65 Crores in Q2FY25, accompanied by profits of Rs. 26.16 Crores to Rs. 69.74 Crores.

In terms of return ratios, it has reported a return on equity (ROE) of 11.44 percent and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 13.25 percent. In terms of liquidity, it has reported a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.49.
