What Happened
JSW Energy Limited, specializing in the generation and distribution of power through a diverse mix of conventional and renewable energy sources, has announced that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, has completed the acquisition of 125 MW of renewable energy assets from Hetero Labs and Hetero Drugs.
These assets, which consist of wind projects in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, are now held under three special purpose vehicles (SPVs). The transaction, valued at approximately Rs. 630 Crores, enhances JSW Energy’s portfolio, which now boasts a total locked-in capacity of 24.7 GW, comprising a diverse mix of energy sources. The wind projects are supported by long-term power purchase agreements and have an average remaining plant life of around 15 years

Q2 FY25 Highlights

The company also advanced the 440 MW SECI X Wind Project and began work on a 3,800 TPA green hydrogen supply agreement with JSW Steel, expected to commission by March 2025. Additionally, the 1.0 GWh BESS project is under construction, with commissioning slated for June 2025.

The company’s revenue rose by 2.1 percent from Rs 3,387.36 crore to Rs 3,459.4 crore in Q2FY24-25. Meanwhile, Net profit rose from Rs 850.16 crores to Rs 853.25 crore during the same period.
