Promoter holding is calculated as the percentage of total shares held by promoters divided by the total number of outstanding shares, multiplied by 100. 

Higher promoter holding indicates greater confidence and commitment from those who have played an important role in shaping the company’s trajectory, and vice versa. 

Promoters who increase their stake in businesses often demonstrate their belief in the firm’s prospects; such actions frequently indicate a positive outlook for the company. 

Adani Power Ltd 

Adani Power is India’s biggest private thermal power producer. The company sells the power generated by its projects through long-term and short-term Power Purchase Agreements, as well as on a merchant basis. 

From 70.02% in September to 71.75% in December, the company promoter increased its stake by 1.73%. Retail investors hold 11.20%, domestic institutional investors hold 1.18%, and foreign institutional investors hold 15.86% of the company. 

On Tuesday, the share price of Adani Power Ltd opened 1.6% up to ₹554.9 per share from its previous close of ₹546 with a market capitalization of ₹2,13,000 crores. 

In the December quarter, the company’s net revenue rose by 67% from ₹7,764 crores to ₹12,991 crores and the net profit of the company rose by 3032% from ₹9 crores to ₹2,738 crores.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd 

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is a company that manufactures, purchases, and markets automobiles, parts, and accessories. Production and sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles are its main priorities. 

The company’s promoter increased its stake by 1.71%, from 56.48% in September to 58.19%. Additionally, 3.50% is owned by retail investors, 17.7% is held by domestic institutional investors, and 20.60% is owned by foreign institutional investors. 

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reached its intraday high of ₹10,712.85 per share on Tuesday, up 2.7% from the previous close of ₹10,425.35. The company has a market capitalization of ₹3,36,000 crore.

The company’s net profit increased by 78% from ₹2,112 crores to ₹3,764 crores in the September quarter, while its net revenue increased by 23% from ₹29,942 crores to ₹37,073 crores. 

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd 

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone develops, operates, and maintains port infrastructure (port services and related infrastructure development), and has established a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and related infrastructure adjacent to the Port of Mundra. 

The promoter of the company increased its stake by 0.36%, from 65.53% in September to 65.89%. Additionally, 7.39% is owned by retail investors, 12.01% is held by domestic institutional investors, and 14.72% is owned by foreign institutional investors. 

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd reached to its intraday high of ₹1284.90 per share on Tuesday, up 2.2% from its previous close of ₹1,256.70. The market capitalization of the company is ₹2,76,000 crore. 

The September quarter saw a 27% increase in the company’s net revenue, from ₹5,211 crores to ₹6,646 crores, and a 1.3% increase in net profit, from ₹1,738 crores to ₹1,762 crores. 

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd is a multi-bagger stock, the share price of the company rose by 143% last year, if an investor invested 1 Lakh the current value of the investment would be 2.43 lakhs.
