In Tuesday’s trading session, the shares of a distinguished leader in the freight forwarding industry hit a 5% upper circuit at Rs. 487.3, after the company secured a purchase order worth Rs. 52 crore.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 705.8 crore, the shares of S J Logistics (India) Limited opened in the green at Rs. 472, up by 1.7 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 464.1.
What’s the News:
According to the 16th July regulatory filings with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), S J Logistics received a purchase order of Rs. 52 crores from a transmission and distribution (T&D) Player.
The order is for providing end-to-end logistics services for Turnkey Projects in the Power Sector, to be executed within a period of 8 months starting from August 2024.

On 9th May, S J Logistics secured two significant orders from different transmission and distribution (T&D) Players.
The first contract, valued at Rs. 62 crore, involves providing end-to-end logistics services for Turnkey Projects in the Power and Water Sector, to be completed within 9 months.
The second contract, valued at Rs. 16 crore, pertains to providing port-to-port logistics service for Project Cargo (Transmission Tower – Power Sector), to be executed within 10 months.
Financials:
Financially, the company experienced significant growth in its revenue from operations, showing a year-on-year rise of around 82 percent from Rs. 148.8 crore in FY22-23 to Rs. 271 crore in FY23-24.
Similarly, its net profit increased during the same period from Rs. 8 crore to Rs. 23 crore, indicating a growth of 187.5 percent YoY.
The company’s management remains optimistic and proactive in navigating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the Shipping & Logistics industry.
S J Logistics has made its debut in the primary market with an IPO and Listed its securities on NSE Emerge in December 2023.
