Shares of this microcap company fell around 5 percent in Tuesday’s trading session despite announcing the successful manufacturing of the World’s largest ANF. 

With a market capitalization of Rs. 416 crores, the shares of BEW Engineering Ltd started Tuesday’s trading session on a flatter note at Rs. 1,500. During the trading session, the shares hit a low of Rs. 1,400, losing around 5 percent and are currently trading at Rs. 1,430 apiece. 

According to the exchange filing, the company announced that it successfully manufactured the world’s largest Agitated Nutsche Filter (ANF) with a drying option, featuring a 32 KL capacity and a twist-lock bayonet ring for easy detachment of the bottom bed. 

The ANF efficiently handles washing, filtration, and drying. Sulphites, purified and dried in the ANF, are valuable in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and agro-speciality sectors due to their antioxidant properties. 

Looking at the company’s financial statements, the revenue decreased by 17 percent from Rs. 66 crores during H1FY24 to Rs. 55 crores in H2FY24. On a contrasting note, the net profits zoomed by 125 percent from Rs. 4 crores to Rs. 9 crores during the same timeframe. 

Coming onto the company’s important financial ratios, the return on equity (RoE) stood at 19.10 percent during FY23-24 and the return on capital employed was recorded at 27.68 percent during the same period. Furthermore, the net profit margin stood at 11.22 percent during FY23-24. 

According to the latest shareholding pattern, the Promoters have 47.82 percent of stakes and the remaining 52.18 percent of shares are with the Retail Investors. 

The company is authorized by ASME for U Stamp on manufacturing of pressure vessels and is also authorized by The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors for NB Mark in Pressure Vessels and other pressure-retaining items. 

Headquartered in Maharashtra, BEW designs and manufactures a special range of filtration, mixing and drying equipment specifically used in Pharmaceuticals, Sterile Applications, Intermediate Compounds, Fine Chemicals, Chemicals, Agro Chemicals, Pesticides, Insecticides, Dyes and Food Products.
