Engineering Infrastructure stock touched the upper circuit after the company ventured into the business of film production, distribution, and allied services, in addition to the existing business. 

GI Engineering Solutions Limited shares touched the 2 percent upper circuit of Rs 12.10 apiece on the National Stock Exchange in the early trade on Wednesday, and the business has a market valuation of Rs 104 crores. 

According to the company’s exchange filing, GI Engineering Solutions Limited has ventured into the business of film production, distribution, and allied services, in addition to the existing businesses. The Company has announced the signing of the 1st project under its new division, with well-known director and writer Farhad Samji for the eagerly anticipated sequel of iconic films such as Haseena Maan Jayegi 2, Housefull 4, Housefull 3, Entertainment, Sooryavanshi, Singham Returns, and Baaghi 3. 

The company’s revenue has increased year on year, from Rs 0.03 crore in Q1FY23 to Rs 93.31 crore in Q1FY24. During the same period, Net profit increased from a loss of Rs 0.01 crore to a profit of Rs 0.94 crore. 

GI Engineering Solutions delivered multibagger returns of 142 percent in six months and 154 percent over a year. A shareholder’s investment of Rs. 1 lakh in the business would be worth Rs. 2.54 lakhs after a year and Rs. 2.42 lakhs after a half-year. 

The company’s profitability ratios have improved, with a return on equity at 14.85 percent and a return on capital employed at 16.58 percent. 

As per the latest shareholding pattern, The GI Engineering Solutions promoters hold 40.89 percent of the company, while retail investors hold 58.82 percent.
