On Monday, a global analytical company’s stock price soared 13 percent after its net profits increased by 33 percent on a year-on-year basis. It also delivered a 25 percent return in six months and a 53 percent return in one year, respectively.
With a market capitalization of ₹35,984.32 crores, CRISIL Ltd stock price increased by 13 percent from the previous closing price of ₹4,609.20 to a 52 week high of ₹5,195.55.
According to the company exchange filing of CRISIL Ltd., revenue from operations on a YoY basis increased by 12 percent from ₹822.26 crores in Q3 FY23 to ₹917.74 crores in Q3 FY24, and in the same period, the net profits of the company rose by 33 percent from ₹158.02 crores to ₹210.12 crores. The total income increased by 13.42 percent, from ₹840.64 crores to ₹953.56 crores.
On a QoQ basis, revenue from operations increased by 25 percent from ₹735.87 crores in Q2 FY24 to ₹917.74 crores in Q3 FY24, and consequently, in the same period, net profits increased by 38 percent from ₹151.99 crores to ₹210.12 crores. The total income increased by 24 percent, from ₹771.84 crores to ₹953.56 crores.
In Q3 FY24, the company’s board has recommended a dividend of ₹28 per share, which is 2,800 percent of its face value of ₹1 per share, which is subject to the approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The stock has a dividend yield of 1.17 percent.
The return on capital employed (ROCE) and the return on equity (ROE) for the trailing twelve months (TTM) stood at 38.15 percent and 30.08 percent, respectively.
As per the investor presentation for Nov 2023, CRISIL Ltd. has a global presence across 12 countries with 40 or more nationalities, and the company saw a margin growth of 40.01 percent in Q3 FY22 to 43.6 percent in Q3 FY23.
The shareholder pattern of the company shows that 66.66 percent is held by the promoters, followed by 13.45 percent held by the public, and the remaining 12.64 percent is with domestic institutional investors (DII), with 7.25 percent held by foreign institutional investors (FII).
