Stocks of Olectra Greentech Limited started its trading session at Rs 688 and currently trades at Rs 675. The scrip, during the early trading hours, witnessed an intra-day high figure of Rs 711.90 representing a gain of approximately 10 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 644.90.
Such stock movements have been observed after the company, last week, announced its results for the last quarter as well as for FY22-23. Details pertaining to the same are discussed in the later half of the report. The company’s Board has also recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.40 (10 percent of its face value of Rs 4) for FY22-23.
Keeping a purview of 2 years, the company’s stock has been able to deliver multibagger returns of around 280 percent. It means that if someone would have invested Rs 1,00,000 in the stock, it would have converted to Rs 3,80,000 within a period of 2 years.
Olectra Greentech Limited is a company based in India that is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of electric buses and composite polymer insulators. The Company operates more than 1000 electric buses commercially within the country. It operates through two segments such as the ‘Insulator’ division and the ‘E-bus’ division generating maximum revenue from the ‘E-bus’ segment.
Digging into the financials of the company, the operating revenues as well as net profits, on a QoQ basis, have improved with the former moving from Rs 256 crores in Q3 v/s Rs 376 crores in Q4 and the latter shifting from Rs 15 crores to Rs 27 crores during the same period.
Coming onto the yearly comparison of the above-mentioned metrics, the company has been successful in reporting a decent growth in numbers with operating revenues going up from Rs 593 crores during FY21-22 to Rs 1,091 crores in FY22-23 and net profits, during the similar horizon, moving from Rs 35 crores to Rs 67 crores showing an increase of around 91 percent.
The basic profitability parameters such as the return on equity (ROE) as well as return on capital employed (ROCE) improved in recent financial years. ROE showed a movement from 1.13 percent during FY20-21 to 4.66 percent in FY21-22. ROCE, in congruence with the movement shown above, increased from 2.44 percent to 7.73 percent.
As per the shareholding data available for the quarter ending March 2023, promoters of the company hold a 50.02 percent stake, and Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) hold a 9.03 percent stake in the company.
