Price Action 

With a market capitalization of Rs. 21,770.10 Crores, the shares of NBCC (India) Limited were down by 2.85 percent in the day’s trade touching a day’s low of Rs. 78.81 per share. 

The stock reiterated from the day’s low and was trading at Rs. 80.63 per share which is down 0.62 percent lower from the previous closing price of Rs. 81.13 apiece. The stock has delivered 13.40 percent negative returns in the past year and has underperformed the Nifty Index.

What Happened 

The stocks of NBCC (India) is in focus after the company received an order worth Rs. 264.16 crore approximately from NIT Kurukshetra. 

The work order is related to the construction of buildings focused on Project Management and Consulting (PMC) which involves an academic block, residential block, hostel block, director’s residence, vertical extension of hostels, academic buildings, and other external development work of NIT Kurukshetra’s order. This work order is considered under the EPC segment. 

About the Company 

NBCC (India) Limited was established in 1960. It is a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, India. They operate in three segments namely Project Management Consultancy, Engineering Procurement and Construction, and Real Estate Development. 

Business Mix

As of the December 2024 quarter, the company earns its revenue from operations of 90.60 percent from PMC, 0.24 percent from Real Estate, 7.16 percent from EPC, and the remaining 1.97 percent from Others. 

The Operating profits of PMC contributes the highest. Despite the higher EPC revenues, it is under loss for Q3FY25 compared to its previous year’s profit in the EPC segment. 

Order Book

The consolidated order book of the company stood at around ~Rs. 1 lakh crore as of January 2025. Out of which Rs. 82,500 crore is from NBCC, Rs. 10,600 crore from HSCC, Rs. 6,800 crore from HSCL, and the remaining Rs. 200 crore from NSL.

Guidance

The company’s management had provided revenue guidance of Rs. 12,000 to 13,000 crore for FY25 and Rs. 15,000 to 16,000 crore for FY26.  

Financial Overview

Its Revenue from operations grew by 16.62 percent year on year from Rs. 2,424 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs. 2,827 Crores in Q3FY25. The Net Profits by profits of Rs. 82 Crores to Rs. 125 Crores.
