The shares of a Midcap NBFC based in Chennai gained around 7.5% after logging its highest-ever 9M disbursements of Rs 21,532 Crores and 19% growth in Assets Under Management of oRs 50,199 Crores.

Share Price Movement

The shares of Sundaram Finance Ltd, with a market capitalization of Rs 50,977.23 Crores, reached an Intraday high of Rs 4,721 per share, and closed at Rs 4,637 per share, 7.6% higher than its previous close of Rs 4,312. 

The shares generated a return of 25% in the past 1 year, and 173% in the past 5 years respectively.

Q3FY25 Results

The Company’s total Revenue from Operations grew by 20% from Rs 1,821 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs 2,190 Crores in Q3FY25. On a Quarterly basis, it grew by 5% from Rs 2,085 Crores in Q2FY25.

Their Net Profits however, declined by 10% YoY, from Rs 506 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs 455 Crores in Q3FY25. But on a quarterly basis, Net Profits increased by 4.4% from Rs 436 Crores in Q2FY25. 

Disbursements grew by 8% YoY from Rs 19,954 Crores in Q3FY24 to Rs 21,532 Crores 9MFY25. Assets Under Management increased 19% YoY from Rs 42,172 Crores to 50,199 Crores over the same period. Net worth increased by 26% YoY from Rs 8,521 Crores to Rs 10,742 Crores.

Funding Mix

Debenture contributes to 29.7%, Bank Borrowings amount to 35.6%, Securitisation contributes 10.7%, deposits with 13.6% and Commercial paper with 10.4% of the total fund of Rs 46,386 Crores in Q3.

Harsha Viji, Executive Vice Chairman of Sundaram Finance commented “Team Sundaram has delivered a terrific Q3 with 19% growth in AUM to Rs. 50,199 crores, improving asset quality with net stage 3 at 0.97% vs 1.02% last year and profits from operations growing 22% year-on-year. Our Group companies in asset management, general insurance and home finance have continued their trajectory from FY24 and recorded strong results.”
