Nifty sees the biggest gap-up open in four years and moved up by 3.6 percent to hit 23,338.7 points in the morning trading session of Monday. 

Despite securing three orders worth Rs. 8.3 crore under different zones of Indian Railways, the share price of a company engaged in Railway Infrastructure Development hit a 2% lower circuit on BSE to Rs. 92.3 on Monday’s trading session. 

With a market capitalisation of Rs. 154.4 crore, the shares of BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited opened at Rs. 92.3, compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 94.15. 

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited bagged three orders under different zones of Indian Railways, according to the latest regulatory filings with the BSE. 

The first agreement is to execute 25 KV Electrification work over the Firozpur Division of Northern Railway comprising Rs. 5.32 crore and is expected to be executed in 9 months. 

The second order received by BCPL is for the execution of Traction Substation work at Barasat under the Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway comprising ~Rs 2.5 crore and is expected to be executed in 12 months. 

Finally, the third order is for providing and laying concrete for foundation work in connection with the Araria-Galgalia RE Project of N. F. Railway under Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) worth Rs. 47 lakh and is expected to be executed over a period of 30 days. 

In terms of financials, the company’s revenue from operations fell by 25 percent YoY from Rs. 34.5 crore in Q4 FY22-23 to Rs. 25.87 crore in Q4 FY23-24. The net profit also declined by 78.6 percent YoY from Rs. 2.9 crore in Q4 FY22-23 to Rs. 0.62 crore in Q4 FY23-24. 

The return on equity (ROE) stood at 6.01 percent in FY23-24, down from 9.53 percent in FY22-23, while Return on Capital Employed (RoCE) fell from 13.84 percent in FY22-23 to 8.49 percent in FY23-24. 

The stock has delivered 106.7 percent of multibagger returns in one year, but 10.2 percent of negative returns in the last six months. 

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited is engaged in the field of railway infrastructure development, and its business activities include designing, drawing, supplying, erecting and commissioning 25KV, 50 Hz Single Phase Traction Overhead Equipment.
