With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,157.54 crores, the shares of Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited hit a 2 lower circuit of Rs. 179.30 per share on Monday, down from its previous closing price of Rs. 182.95 per share.

What Happened:

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited has secured an order worth approximately Rs. 4.94 crore from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, Indian Railways. The order involves the supply and installation of 47 sets of coach seats with fixing arrangements for Second AC Chair Car coaches. Delivery will be completed by December 31, 2026.

Ace investor Mukul Mahavir Agrawal owns a 5.27 percent stake in Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited, with 34 lakh shares valued at Rs. 62.6 crores, reflecting his significant investment in the company.

Expansion Plans:

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited is growing its business to expand in India’s rail sector. The company aims to double its wagon production to 4,800 units per year and set up a bogie spring plant in Kutch. It is also working on smart wagons with real-time tracking, targeting a 25 percent share of the freight wagon market.

Recent quarter results:

Oriental Rail Infrastructure Limited reported a revenue increase of 4.26 percent, rising from Rs. 146.58 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 152.82 crore in Q3 FY25. However, the company’s net profit declined by 39.89 percent, falling from Rs. 12.51 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 7.52 crore in Q3 FY25.
