The Shares of India’s largest amusement park chain gained 9 percent in the day’s trade after it successfully obtained all the necessary approvals and clearances from government of Tamil Nadu for the construction of its new chennai project. 

At. 1:30 p.m the shares of Wonderla Holidays were trading at Rs. 857 up 6 percent from its previous day close price and its market capitalization is Rs. 4,865 Crores. 

As per the company’s filing, Wonderla Holidays has announced that it has successfully obtained all the necessary approvals and clearances from the Government of Tamil Nadu for its Chennai Project and is poised to commence the construction of the Project. 

Wonderla is set to unveil a stunning amusement park, which is the above stated chennai project, with a substantial investment of approximately 400 crores, spanning across a 62 acre expanse in Illalur village, within the Thiruporur taluk of Chengalpet district, it is located 45 kilometres away from Chennai.This upcoming amusement park promises to be an iconic addition to the Company’s expansion plans. 

It has delivered multibagger returns of 137 percent in a year and 100 percent in the last six months. A shareholders investment of Rs. 1 lakh in the company would be worth Rs. 2.37 lakh in a year. 

The company’s revenue grew 233.76 percent from Rs. 128.6 Crores in FY22 to Rs. 429.22 Crores in FY23, accompanied by Decreasing loss of Rs. 9.48 Crore to a profit of Rs. 148.9 Crores in the same timeframe. 

It has reported a return on equity (ROE) of 17.02 percent and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 22.93 percent, it is making good returns on its equity and capital employed. 

According to the latest shareholding data available for the June 2023 quarter, the company’s Promoters hold 69.72 percent stake, Domestic Institutional Investors hold 4.27 percent and Foreign Institutional Investors hold 4.04 percent. 

Wonderla Holidays is the largest chain of amusement parks in India, it is engaged in the business of construction and maintenance of Amusement Parks and Resorts under the brand name Wonderla.
