Stock Price Movement:

With a market capitalization of Rs. 1,663.93 crores, the share of Veranda Learning Solutions Limited has reached an intraday high of Rs. 237.45 per equity share, rising nearly around 3.96 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 228.40. Since then, the stock has retreated and is currently trading at Rs. 233.10 per equity share. 

What Happened:

Veranda Learning Solutions Limited (VLS) has acquired a 40.41 percent stake in BB Publication Private Limited, a company that provides online coaching and study materials for CA and CMA students. This acquisition is part of VLS’s plan to expand its presence in the education industry.

The total agreed payment for this acquisition includes Rs. 55 crore already paid in cash, with an additional Rs. 45.01 crore to be paid by March 31, 2025. VLS will also acquire more shares through a share swap by June 30, 2025. Eventually, VLS aims to acquire 100 percent stake of BB publications in multiple phases.

Product and Service Offerings:

Veranda Learning Solutions offers diverse education models, including online, hybrid, and blended learning. It provides exam preparation for UPSC, banking, and CA courses, along with vocational training, corporate programs, and regional language courses. Additionally, it manages school services and collaborates with institutions to enhance learning experiences.

Business Operation:

Veranda Learning Solutions has seen significant growth in student enrollments over the years. In FY21, enrollments were 28,674, which more than doubled to 58,628 in FY22. By FY23, enrollments reached 91,667, and in FY24, they saw a huge jump to 1,58,407. 

For the first nine months of FY25, enrollments stand at 1,07,255. This steady increase shows the growing demand for Veranda’s educational programs and its ability to attract more students through acquisitions and improved learning models.

Recent quarter results:

Veranda Learning Solutions Limited’s revenue has increased from Rs. 92 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 99 crore in Q3 FY25, which has grown by 7.61 percent. The net loss has grown from Rs. -17 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. -203 crore in Q3 FY25.
