Shares of a small-cap company, that manufactures a wide range of water control systems, rose 8% after the company secured a work order worth Rs 44 crores in September month. 

Share price variations: 

With a market capitalization of Rs. 2,825.52 crores, Jash Engineering Limited surged to an intraday high of Rs. 2,298.80, marking an 8% increase from its previous close of Rs. 2,124.35 per share. 

Reason for the Rise: 

According to exchange filings, Jash Engineering Limited secured orders totaling Rs. 44 crores in September. Of this, orders worth Rs. 30 crores were received from domestic clients, including Tata Projects and NCC Ltd., while the remaining Rs. 14 crores came from international clients such as Larsen & Toubro-Tanzania, Fullink Technologies, and Manistique WWTP Headworks. 

As of October 1st, Jash Engineering Limited had an order book valued at Rs. 942 crores. Of this, Rs. 333 crores are for the Indian market, while Rs. 609 crores are for international markets. Additionally, orders worth Rs. 21 crores have been negotiated with clients, and formal purchase orders are pending. 

Recent Orders Received: 

In August, Jash Engineering Limited received orders totaling Rs. 49 crores, with Rs. 17 crores from Indian clients and Rs. 32 crores from international clients. In July, the company secured orders worth Rs. 107 crores, while in June, it bagged orders amounting to Rs. 57 crores. 

Financial Performance: 

For Q1FY25 the company reported a net profit of Rs. 0.08 crore compared to a loss of Rs. 3.37 crore in Q1FY24, while revenue from operations marked an increase of 78% to Rs. 114.55 crore from Rs. 64.22 crore in comparison to the same period. 

The share has given a return of 30.85% in the last 6 months and a return of almost 54.26% in the past year.

The company is an industry leader in India for most of these products and also exports these products to over 45 countries worldwide. 

In FY24, Jash Engineering Limited generated 60% of its revenue from water control gates, 15% from valves, 15% from screening equipment, and the remaining 10% from hydropower, pumping, process equipment, and other segments.
