In Tuesday’s trading session, the shares of a company engaged in manufacturing of sugar candies hit a 5% upper circuit at Rs. 73.32 on the BSE, following the company’s announcement of an expected revenue of up to Rs. 30 crore in FY24-25.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 65.7 crore, the shares of Sampre Nutritions Limited opened in the green at Rs. 73, up by 4.5 percent, as compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 69.83.
What’s the News:
As per the latest regulatory filings with the BSE, Sampre Nutritions entered into a Manufacturing Agreement with PRAN Beverages (India) Private Limited on 15th July.
This agreement allows Sampre to manufacture and sell various food products, specifically in the categories of Ayush (traditional health products), nutraceuticals (food products with health benefits), and confectionery.
With effect from August 1, 2024, Sampre Nutrition expects to receive orders of 200 tons of these products each month, which is estimated to generate revenue of around Rs. 3 crore per month.
Over the course of a year, this could amount to total orders valued between Rs. 25 crore and Rs. 30 crore.
Financials:
The company experienced a fall in its revenue from operations, showing a year-on-year decline of around 59 percent from Rs. 11.7 crore in Q4 FY22-23 to Rs. 4.8 crore in Q4 FY23-24.
However, its net profit increased during the same period from a loss of Rs. 0.6 crore to a profit of Rs. 0.55 crore.
Shareholding Pattern:
As per the shareholding pattern of June 2024, the Promoters hold a 28.36 percent stake in the company, while Retail Investors hold a 71.64 percent stake in Sampre Nutritions.
Stock performance:
The stock has delivered nearly positive returns of nearly 16.6 percent in one year. However, the shares of Sampre Nutritions have given negative returns of around 10.2 percent in the last six months as well as about 7.6 percent returns year-to-date.
