With a market capitalization of Rs 160.28 crore, the shares of Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies Ltd were trading at Rs 132.05 per share, increasing around 5 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 125.80 apiece.
Reason for rise:-
According to the company filing, Arvind & Company Shipping Agencies Ltd received a prestigious order from Larsen & Toubro Limited for hiring Marine Equipment for usage at the KKNPP HTS project site, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. the order is valued at Rs 5.90 crore. The order should take place within 15 days from the date of the work order and the hiring period is of 12 months.

Financial conditions:-
Looking into the company’s financial condition, revenue jumped by 33 percent from Rs 6.06 crore in H2FY24 to Rs 8.09 in H1FY24, however during the same period of time, net profit magnified drastically by 52 percent from Rs 2.09 crore to Rs 3.18 crore.
Ratio analysis & shareholding pattern:-
The company’s critical ratios show that the return on equity declined from 37.97 percent in FY22-23 to 18.90 percent in FY23-24, while the return on capital employed magnified from 28.21 percent to 22.86 percent. The net profit margin (NPM) for fiscal year 23-24 is 37.20 percent.
