In Thursday’s trading session, the shares of a company that manufactures power transformers hit a 2% upper circuit to Rs. 91.46, after the company received a purchase order from Tata Power Northen Odisha Distribution Limited.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 83.7 crore, the shares of Alfa Transformers Limited opened in the green at Rs. 91.46, compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 89.67.
What’s the news:
Alfa Transformers informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) about receiving a purchase order valued at approximately Rs. 2 crore from Tata Power Northen Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL).
The purchase order secured by the company includes the design, manufacturing and supply of 100KVA Transformers from the Bhubaneswar plant, within 120 days from the date of receipt of the order.
Previous Order:
On 1st March, Alfa Transformers received a purchase order worth Rs. 27.39 crores from the Gujarat Electricity Board for the design, manufacturing, and supply of 10 KVA 4,994 Nos of Transformers from the Vadodara plant, with execution period of 7 months from the date of receipt of order.
Financials & Shareholding Pattern:
In terms of financials, the revenue from operations stood at Rs. 11.35 crore in Q4 FY23-24, rising by 56.8 percent YoY from Rs. 7.24 crore in Q4 FY22-23, and the after-tax profit grew by percent to Rs. 0.12 crore from Rs. 0.2 crore, during the same period.
According to the latest shareholding pattern, the Promoters hold a 46.82 percent stake in the company, and Retail Investors hold a 53.18 percent stake in Alfa Transformers.
Stock Performance:
The stock has delivered nearly 151 percent of multibagger returns in one year, and positive returns of around 1.04 percent in the last six months. So far in 2024, the shares of Alfa Transformers have given about 17 percent of positive returns.
