On Monday’s trading session, the share price of this small-cap stock jumped nearly 4 percent to hit an intraday high at Rs. 67.89, following a bulk deal worth around Rs. 97.74 lakhs on 21st June. 

At 10:22 a.m., the shares of Vidli Restaurants Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 66.8, up by nearly 2.3 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 65.33, having a market capitalisation of Rs. 77.65 crore. 

According to the 21st June bulk deal data available with the BSE, domestic institutional investor (DII) Green Portfolio’s Super 30 Dynamic Fund and Green Portfolio Private Limited bought a total of 1.5 lakh equity shares, or 75,000 equity shares each, in Vidli Restaurants at an average price of Rs 65.33 per share and Rs 65.33 per share respectively, bringing the total deal value to nearly Rs. 97.74 lakh. 

In terms of financials, the company reported a growth in revenue from operations by 26.3 percent YoY from Rs. 6.8 crore in Q4 FY22-23 to Rs. 8.55 crore in Q4 FY23-24, but witnessed a fall in after-tax profit by 86.6 percent from Rs. 0.6 crore to Rs. 0.08 crore, during the same period. 

The stock has delivered nearly positive returns of 9.2 percent in the last one year, and around 5 percent of positive returns in six months. 

The company has been continually making profits since its listing for over 7 consecutive years, including the pandemic period, and its revenue has increased by 145 percent CAGR since listing on 15th February 2016. 

As per the shareholding pattern of March 2024, the Promoters hold a 65.9 percent stake in the company, while Retail Investors hold a 34.1 percent stake in Vidli Restaurants. 

Incorporated in 2007, Vidli Restaurants Limited is a chain of restaurants serving food items in a quick-serve format at various outlets on national highways, state highways and cities. 

Vidli Restaurants Limited together with its subsidiary Vitizen Hotels Limited is referred to as “the Group”. 

The Group is in the hospitality business, operating hotels in the union territories of Diu, Daman and Nagar Haveli and managing hotels and restaurants in the states of Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
