Tanla Platforms Limited, a cloud communications company was in focus on Thursday as it was set to launch the Anti-Phishing Technology Platform, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain on February 27, 2023.
Wisely ATP is a global, first-of-its-kind proprietary anti-phishing platform to protect citizens, trusted brands, and the digital economy. The Indian Telecom Regulator TRAI has approved setting up the regulatory sandbox for this platform.
The announcement of this development led the shares to rally by more than 9 percent in the early hours of Thursday to trade at Rs 655 levels. On a longer-term basis, the stock has shed 9 percent in the past month and 12 percent in the span of 6 months.
Tanla Platforms Limited, previously known as Tanla Solutions Ltd, is a cloud communications company. It is also counted as India’s largest Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) company. It processes more than 800 billion interactions annually.
In Q3FY23, the company reported a total revenue of Rs 869.63 Crore which declined by 2 percent from Rs 884.92 Crore Year on Year. On a sequential basis, their revenue grew by 2 percent from Rs 851.04 Crore. The revenues declined as the Festive spending remained lower especially among BFSI customers.
In the quarter under review, their profit after tax stood at Rs 116.51 Crore, a decline from Rs 158 Crore Year on Year. However, it increased by 5 percent QoQ from Rs 110.45 Crore.
The company has a market capitalization of Rs 8,749 Crore and a dividend yield of 0.31%. As per the shareholding pattern, the promoters hold a 43.73 percent stake with zero shares pledged while the FIIs hold a 14.02 percent stake.
