Leading consumer electricals stock engaged in manufacturing and supplying a wide range of consumer products ranging from fans, air coolers, pumps, solar pumps, and many more jumped 2 percent in the day’s trade upon receiving a patent for its invention. 

With a market capitalization of Rs. 21,753 Crores, the shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited were trading at Rs. 338.25, up 1.5 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs. 333.25. 

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has announced that it has been granted a patent for an invention titled Powerline Failure Detection Mechanism for Emergency Lighting System in Consumer Products. This patent has been officially granted Patent Number 537920 for 20 years. 

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited is one of the leading Fast-Moving Electrical Goods manufacturers operating through two segments, Electric Consumer Durables (ECD) and Lighting. 

It manufactures and supplies a wide range of consumer products ranging from fans, air coolers, pumps, solar pumps, appliances, LED Panels, floodlights, and many more under the brand name Crompton. 

Its Revenue from operations grew by 15 percent from Rs. 1,265.81 Crores in Q3FY23 to Rs. 1,458.13 Crores in Q3FY24, accompanied by profits of Rs. 84.34 Crores to Rs. 95.37 Crores. 

It has reported a return on equity (ROE) of 17.96 percent, a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 17.02 percent, and a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.5.
