As per Nuvama Alternative and Quantitative Research, they believe that some companies may be included or excluded in the upcoming rearrangement of the Nifty Indices. The rejig happens once every six months. 

The rejig announcement is expected to be in the second half of February 2025 and the adjustment of the stocks or companies announced in their respective indices is expected to be implemented on March 27, 2025. Below are the Companies under Nifty Indices that hold high convictions by Nuvama.

Nifty 50 Index

The brokerage firm has mentioned that in the upcoming rejig of the Nifty 50 Index, the expected inflows in the Zomato are expected at $631 Million and Jio Financial Services inflow by around $320 Million which are likely to be included in the Index, and can those scrips can be replaced with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) with an expected Outflow of $201 Million and Britannia with $240 Million.

Nifty Next 50 Index

Nuvama has mentioned stocks that are likely to be included in this Index and are expected to be the 2 Nifty 50 companies that are excluded. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) with an expected inflow of $51 Million followed by Britannia with $61 Million. 

They are followed by companies that are recently listed on the bourses with an expected inflow of Hyundai Motors India – $17 Million, Bajaj Housing Finance – $8 Million, Swiggy – $9 Million, NTPC Green Energy – $7 Million, and Murugappa Group’s company CG Power and Industrial Solutions – $42 Million.

The Exclusion list includes scrips with expected outflows, Union Bank – $21 Million, Adani Total Gas Limited – $17 Million, Jio Financial Services – $75 Million, NHPC – $23 Million, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) – $25 Million, Zomato – $148 Million, and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) – $22 Million.

Nifty 100 Index  

The likely inclusions in the Index include Hyundai Motors India, Bajaj Housing Finance, Swiggy, NTPC Green Energy, and CG Power and Industrial Solutions. The Exclusion list includes Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), NHPC, Adani Total Gas Limited and Union Bank.
