The Piotroski score, which ranges from zero to nine, represents nine parameters used to analyse the strength and financial position of a company. It is used to rank the best-value stocks, with nine being the best and zero indicating the worst.

Following are a few stocks under Rs. 50, with a high Piotroski score of up to 9 to add in your watchlist:

Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 1,117 crores, the stock moved up by nearly 4.6 percent on BSE to hit an intraday high at Rs. 29.48 on Friday, and has a Piotroski score of 8.

In Q3 FY25, the company’s Net Interest Income (NII) increased by around 12.6 percent YoY to Rs. 128.34 crores, while the net profit grew by nearly 551 percent YoY to Rs. 19.8 crores.

Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited is a private sector bank engaged in providing a wide range of banking and financial services, with 58 percent of the branches of the banks are in Kerala. 

Patel Engineering Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 3,367.3 crores, the stock moved up by nearly 3.5 percent on BSE to hit an intraday high at Rs. 40.72 on Friday, and has a Piotroski score of 8.

In Q3 FY25, the company’s revenue from operations increased by around 13.7 percent YoY to Rs. 1,206 crores, while the net profit grew by nearly 19 percent YoY to Rs. 82 crores.

Patel Engineering Ltd. is engaged in the business of construction of dams, bridges, tunnels, roads, piling works, industrial structures and other kinds of heavy civil engineering works in areas like hydro, irrigation & water supply, urban infrastructure and transport.

BMW Industries Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 1,098.4 crores, the shares of a leading manufacturer in the downstream steel sector moved up by nearly 3.6 percent on BSE to hit an intraday high at Rs. 49.49 on Friday, and have a Piotroski score of 8.

In Q3 FY25, the company’s revenue from operations increased marginally by around 3 percent YoY to Rs. 148 crores, while the net profit grew by nearly 41.7 percent YoY to Rs. 17 crores.

BMW Industries Limited is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing, processing and selling steel products comprising including engineering and other products and services and activities related to the same.

Vakrangee Limited

With a market cap of Rs. 1,083.2 crores, the stock moved up by nearly 4 percent on BSE to hit an intraday high at Rs. 10.77 on Friday, and has a Piotroski score of 9.

In Q3 FY25, the company’s revenue from operations increased marginally by around 4 percent QoQ to Rs. 67.88 crores, while the net profit grew by nearly 76.3 percent QoQ to Rs. 1.04 crores.

Vakrangee Limited provides diverse solutions, activities in e-commerce, white label ATM, financial services (including banking) and logistics sector, including bullion and jewellery, through its Vakrangee Kendra (on B2B and B2C basis) with special competencies in handling massive, multi-state, and data digitization, software and license.
