Tata Group stock which is a global engineering services company that specializes in delivering product development and digital technology solutions to original equipment manufacturers, has gone down by 5.5 percent in the day’s trading after a block deal worth Rs. 1,094 crore changed hands.

Price movement 

With a market capitalization of Rs 27,135 crores, the share of Tata Technologies is down by 5.5 percent compared to the previous close of Rs 705.60 and hit an intraday low of Rs 662.25, The share price is down by 40 percent from its 52-week high of Rs 1,136.

Private equity firm TPG Rise Climate likely sold a stake in Tata Technologies worth Rs 1,094 Crores through a block deal, which involves a 3.95 percent equity stake in this company at the price range of Rs 670-699 per share. As of March 2025, they hold a 6.01 percent stake in the company.

Financials

The company reported a revenue of Rs 1,286 crores in Q4 FY25, down by 1.18 percent from its Q4 FY24 revenue of Rs 1,301 crores. It posted a Net profit of Rs 189 crore in Q4 FY25, up by 20 percent from its Q4 FY24 net profit of Rs 157 crores.

Current shareholding pattern

Currently, as of March’29, the promoters hold 55.22 percent of the shares in the company, FII’s hold 3.10 percent, DII’s hold 2.48 percent of the shares in the company, and the retail investors hold 39.20 percent of the shares in the company.
