Tata Group stock, an associate company of The Indian Hotels Company Limited, rose by over 3 percent on BSE after reporting a 414 percent YoY increase in net profit for Q2 FY25.
Share price variations:
With a market capitalization of Rs. 3,191.57 crores, Oriental Hotels Ltd. rose to an intraday high of Rs. 184.35 representing a 3.16 percent increase from its previous closing price of Rs. 178.70 per share.
Reason for the Rise:
According to exchange filings, Oriental Hotels Ltd. reported a 6.61 percent increase in net profit, rising to Rs 8.38 crore in Q2 FY25 from Rs 7.86 crore in Q2 FY24. On a QoQ basis it grew by 414 percent from Rs. 1.63 Crores in Q1FY25 to Rs. 8.38 Crores in Q2FY25.
Revenue from operations grew by 13.48 percent year on year, generating Rs 103.30 crore compared to Rs 91.03 crore in the same period last year. On a QoQ basis it grew by 26 percent from Rs. 81.97 Crores in Q1FY25 to Rs. 103.30 Crores in Q2FY25.
Half-yearly revenue increased by 0.9 percent to Rs. 185.27 crore in H1 FY25, up from Rs. 183.62 crore in H1 FY24, while net profit decreased by 40 percent to Rs. 10.01 crore compared to Rs. 16.69 crore during the same period.
