A “Death crossover” is a term used in technical analysis of financial markets to describe a bearish signal that occurs when a shorter-term moving average crosses below a longer-term moving average.

The most common moving averages used are the 50-day moving average (short-term) and the 200-day moving average (long-term). This crossover is considered a negative signal, indicating potential downward momentum in the asset’s price.

The death crossover took place on the 12th of February 2025 at the price of Rs. 6,677.79 with a decent volume of 695.73K and it is currently trading at Rs. 4,828 on Monday’s session, after the crossover the stock has declined by 15 percent from the date of the crossover.
