- Trading in US Stocks made easy by NSE IFSC from March 3
- NSE IFSC at Gift City has received approval to trade receipts of 50 US-based stocks
- Initially starting with 8 Stocks: Alphabet, Amazon, Tesla, Meta, Microsoft, Netflix, Apple & Walmart
The NSE’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) platform in GIFT City at Gujarat will start trading in eight US stocks from March 3 as it has received approval to trade receipts of 50 US-based stocks.
Initially, trading in US stocks will start with 8 stocks Alphabet, Amazon, Tesla, Meta, Microsoft, Netflix, Apple & Walmart.
Other major stocks listed in the US Stock exchange will be added soon, including Berkshire Hathaway, Johnson & Johnson, Mastercard, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Nike, Paypal, Pepsico, Pfizer, Intel, Cisco, and Mcdonalds. The date of trading for these other stocks is yet to be decided.
Investors will be given an option to trade in fractional Quantities and have to open a demat account at the IFSC to hold the depository receipts. The investment can be up to $250,000 (Rs 1.9 Cr) under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) limits by RBI.
The trading in US Stocks through NSE IFSC will start at 8:30 PM on day one to 2:30 PM the next day.
