IT and Realty are the worst-performing sectors this year so far. Nifty IT gave a return of -17.48% YTD and NIFTY Realty’s return is -9.19% in the same time period.
Looking into the NIFTY IT top constituents, the returns given in the 2022 YTD are: Infosys (-16.51%), TCS (-7.39%), WIPRO (-25.84%), HCL (-17.13%), and Tech Mahindra (-28.66%).
For the NIFTY Realty, its top constituents gave the following returns: DLF (-5.51%), Godrej Properties (-17.98%), Oberai Properties (6.16%), Phoenix Mills (5.75%), Macrotech Developers (-18.84%).

Although it has been just four months in 2022, however, it has not been so generous to the investors. The equity investors will be hoping for a positive turnaround in the market in the upcoming months.
