The shares of the multinational food and beverage conglomerate gained up to 3 percent after prominent global institutional investors, including Morgan Stanley, Vanguard Funds, and others, bought 13.5 crores shares via a Block deal.
With a market capitalization of Rs 36,449.49 crore, the shares of AWL Agri Business Ltd were trading at Rs 280.45 per share, increasing around 1.60 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 274.60 apiece.
Adani Commodities LLP, promoter of AWL Agri Business, has offloaded 13.5 crore shares worth Rs 3,732.5 crore to several domestic and global institutional investors. These include Duro India Opportunities Fund, IDFC Mutual Fund, Bandhan MF, Jupiter India Fund, Morgan Stanley, Quant MF, Shajaeatan Investment FZCO, and Vanguard Funds, at a price of Rs 275.5 per share.

Looking forward to the company’s financial performance, revenue increased by 21 percent from Rs 14,154 crore in Q1FY25 to Rs 17,059 crore in Q1FY26. Further, during the same time frame, net profit plummeted by 24 percent from Rs 313 crore to Rs 238 crore.
Management remains optimistic about edible oils, supported by palm oil price correction and a favorable duty structure. In Food & FMCG, focus is on volume growth and margin improvement via SKU and regional optimization. GD Foods integration, automation, and rural expansion are underway. Inventory losses were offset by hedging, and capex will now prioritize growth over maintenance.
AWL Agri Business Ltd offers kitchen commodities for Indian consumers, including edible oil, wheat flour, rice, pulses, and sugar. Additionally, it has a branded health and convenience product portfolio that includes Rice Bran oil, Blended oil, soya nuggets, Chana Sattu, biryani kit, and khichdi.
