There are players who break records. Then, there are players who touch hearts. Virat Kohli has done both. Over the years, Kohli has gone from a young, aggressive boy with a dream to one of the greatest cricketers of all time. His passion, positive energy, and hunger for success have brought him many trophies, both with the Indian team and as an individual. Let’s take a look through all the major trophies Virat Kohli has won, not just as a player, but as a leader and a legend.

1. ICC Under-19 World Cup 2008

Kohli’s first major breakthrough came in 2008 when he captained the Indian Under-19 team to a World Cup triumph in Malaysia. This was the first sign of his leadership skills and mental strength. That win gave India a glimpse of the star he was about to become.

2. ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

In 2011, India won the World Cup after 28 years. MS Dhoni was the captain, but Virat Kohli also played an important part. In the first match, he scored a century against Bangladesh. That win meant a lot to the country. Kohli dedicated his performance to Sachin Tendulkar, as it was likely his last chance to win a World Cup. It showed how much of a team player Kohli is.

3. ICC Champions Trophy – 2013

India won the Champions Trophy in England in 2013 under Dhoni’s captaincy, and Kohli was once again a key performer. He scored valuable runs in tough conditions. It was another big achievement for him and a great time for India in one-day and T20 cricket.

4. ICC Test Mace 2016 to 2020

India reached the No.1 spot in Test cricket under Kohli’s leadership. They held the top spot for five consecutive years and were awarded the ICC Test Mace each year. Kohli’s belief in fitness, aggression, and playing to win made India a dominant force in Test cricket.

5. ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Perhaps one of the most emotional wins in his career came in 2024, when India won the T20 World Cup in the West Indies. Kohli had been struggling with form, but in the final against South Africa, he delivered a match-winning 76-run innings and was named Player of the Match. It completed his set of major ICC trophies, something no other cricketer had achieved.

6. ICC Champions Trophy 2025

In 2025, Kohli secured another ICC trophy to his name. He scored a brilliant unbeaten century against Pakistan and an important 84 in the semi-final against Australia. His performances helped India lift the trophy and reminded the world that class is permanent.

7. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025

For 18 seasons, Kohli gave everything to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He played wonderful knocks for RCB, made records, also won the orange cap twice, but couldn’t win the trophy. Critics often said RCB could never win. But in 2025, they finally did. Kohli was emotional, fans were overjoyed, and the trophy was a reward for years of loyalty and belief.

More Than a Cricketer

Kohli’s journey is not just about the trophies. It’s about his fire, his tears, his love for the game, and his hunger to win for the country. He made chasing totals an art. He made fitness a culture. And most importantly, he made millions believe in chasing their dreams.

As of now, Virat Kohli has achieved everything a cricketer dreams of. But knowing him, he’s not done yet. There’s still more cricket, more runs, and more magic to come.
